Industrial MSLA 3D printing in Brescia, Italy

MSLA 3D printing (Masked Stereolithography, an evolution of SLA) selectively cures photosensitive resin with UV light projected through a high-resolution LCD mask. Our industrial MSLA printers offer a build volume of up to 353 × 196 × 350 mm, a dimensional accuracy of ±0.3 mm up to 100 mm (±0.3% above) and a high-quality surface finish, with a range of engineering resins that spans elastomers, ceramic-filled, high-temperature, ESD-safe and flame-retardant resins.

Max build volume

353 × 196 × 350 mm

Dimensional accuracy

±0.3 mm up to 100 mm, ±0.3% above

XY pixel size

50 μm (with anti-aliasing)

Minimum wall thickness

1 mm

Layer thickness

0.025–0.300 mm

How MSLA 3D printing works

For each layer, from 25 to 300 µm:

  1. The inverted build platform lowers into the tank, leaving a thin film of liquid resin above its transparent bottom;
  2. UV LEDs shine through an LCD screen that acts as a mask and cure the entire cross-section in a single exposure;
  3. The platform rises and peels the layer off the film.

After printing, the part is washed in isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and finished with a UV post-cure.

Build platform removed from a resin printer, with freshly printed parts hanging from their supports

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about industrial MSLA 3D printing.

Yes, with the right resin: Tough 2000 for impact-loaded parts, Rigid 10K for stiffness, High-Temp for an HDT of up to 240 °C, Flame-Retardant for electronics. For parts under continuous mechanical stress in service, FDM (high-performance polymers) or SLS remain the better choice.

Some are (USP Class VI and ISO 10993 certified) for medical and dental applications. On request we print with a traced batch and a certificate of conformity.

MSLA when visual fidelity, fine features or smooth as-built surfaces come first. FDM when the part also has to be tested mechanically or needs an engineering material (ABS, PC, nylon).
